Denyse Karn – Set/Projection/Costume Designer
Denyse has been designing sets, projections and costumes in Canadian theatre for the past 35 years. Over the past 20 years, she has focused on integrating new technology, multi-media, digital imaging and video projection into her design practice. Through the use and manipulation of projected images, she has been able to create dynamic performance spaces that allow for a truly collaborative adventure with directors, playwrights, other designers, actors and audiences. Denyse is a graduate of the Ryerson Theatre School and has her BFA from NSCAD University. Denyse is an award winning designer and has received many Dora Mavor Moore nominations and awards, a Chalmer’s Award and four Merritt Award (Nova Scotia Theatre Award) for Outstanding Set, Projection and Costume design. Denyse is a full member of ADC.
